Many times when someone says that someone "showed their true colors" it's not a good thing.
Sometimes, it IS a good thing.
Again today, I was contacted by someone who is requesting to be tested when the time comes for Maci to begin the transplant process. I cry as I type this. (I am just a big ole baby these days!)
Since Maci's kidney failure is not due to genetics, they will test Rick and I first. I am just overwhelmed with the selflessness of people who have come forward, approaching me with questions and offering to be tested.
To those of you, my heartfelt thanks for showing your TRUE COLORS.

So Behind
Playing catch up on work is about as fun for me as having a root canal. I have been EXTREMELY busy lately. I am however counting my blessings. 80% of my time is spent looking at a computer screen. The majority of that time is for my full time job. I am very thankful for having a full time job that I like and a part time (photography) job that I love.
Being behind with the full time job duties has been carrying over into the 41-55+ hours, post my 40 hour work week. I have a project due July 2 so at least with a deadline there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Things could be worse, I could still be looking for the tunnel!
I have done two baseball teams recently, taken a trip to the zoo and celebrated my birthday. All of course means photos that have yet to be posted.
I couldn't resist posting this one picture of Lucy from our trip to the zoon Sunday, June 13th. She was so adorable wading around in the fountain. I added the wording and if you only knew Lucy's personality, you'd know how true this is for her.

Few of My Faves
These are a few of my favorite photos from a March 2010 trip to Heber Springs.
Hide-n-Go Seek
Lucy was sleeping in her carseat when I took this picture of her tootsies.

Miscellaneous May
To not be a typical "girly girl" who likes floral print fabrics and such, I sure like to photograph flowers.
Dogwood tree in the backyard.
Rose bush in the front yard.
Magnolias in my subdivision
One of the roses my sister in law gave me on Mother's Day. :)

Showing Off Downtown Memphis
I wanted to look for location options for future photo shoots so off go the Little Miss and I to downtown Memphis.
We had lunch at The Arcade Restaurant (a fave of mine and now hers) visited the train station and I showed her the Lorraine Motel and we discussed MLK, Jr.
History and photography often go hand in hand for me.

She's a poser!

One of my favorite examples of catching people off guard and how it turns out "cool".

Moody Kids
I was asked by my friend Susan to take photos of her children before they moved to MN. By the way, their last name is Moody so I wasn't using Moody as an adjective to describe the kids in my title. ;)
Photographing children is a lot of fun for me. I especially had a good time with these two because of their personalities; each so different, yet both pleasurable. I enjoyed being in their company with my camera.

The Cemetery - Just Passing Through
After visiting Elmwood Cemetery 15 minutes before closing time last night, Tra, the girls and myself decided to check out Memorial Park Cemetery. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and made for great photos!
I caught Jada laughing at something. :)
I really enjoyed the few hours I spent taking photos today! It was a beautiful and relaxing day.

Sweet Sisters!
Jena had more interest in playing on the huge hill than she did having her picture taken.
